The Multicultural Arts Center offers diverse opportunities for artists to showcase their work, develop their craft, and engage with the community.
We offer programs for visual artists, performers, musicians, and emerging talents across different disciplines.
Call for Visual Artists
We accept proposals for gallery exhibitions on a rolling basis
Submit a proposal for a gallery exhibition of fine art that uplifts to our mission of fostering cultural and creative equity through the arts. BIPOC artists are strongly encouraged to apply.

Studio and Theater Rental Information
Studio or Theater Rental
These rentals are designed for musicians, performing artists, or small dance or theater companies to rehearse, record, or workshop their projects. Other events or rentals may take place in the venue concurrently.
Small Private Rehearsals/Lessons (4 people or fewer)
Spaces available for this option include Studio A, Studio B, and the Greenroom.
Large Private Rehearsals (5-50 people)
Spaces available for this option include the Theater.
Public Workshops (5-50 people)
Spaces available for this option include the Theater.
We also offer the following services at an additional fee:
- Lighting design
- Audio engineering
- Recording raw video footage
- Livestream / live edit
- Post-production editing
Performance Venue Booking
We rent our full venue to theater and dance companies, musical groups, and individual artists to showcase their work. The Multicultural Arts Center will provide basic lighting and sound, publicity, and stage specifications. One Production Associate will be available for a production meeting, tech, and showtimes. Any additional production staff needed will be determined at the production meeting and billed hourly.
To rent the theater for a performance, your organization and/or event must:
- Be open to the public.
- Have an audience in Cambridge and have demonstrable relevance to the greater Cambridge community
- Permit promotion on our website and online channels
- Share emails of registered attendees
We also offer the following services at an additional fee:
- Lighting design

- Post-production editing

Co-produced Performance Opportunity
The Multicultural Arts Center offers select artists and organizations the opportunity to use our theater without a rental fee as funds permit.
We offer a 50/50 split of ticket sale revenue to a limited number of performers each year for events that meet the following criteria:
- Strong alignment with the Multicultural Arts Center’s mission
- Acknowledgment of the Multicultural Arts Center for providing the space (during the event or through other appropriate means)
- Demonstrated relevance to the greater Cambridge community and existing audience in Cambridge
Organizations selected for this opportunity will be expected to:
- Submit a Distribution Agreement allowing the Multicultural Arts Center to:
- Distribute information about the program on its platforms
- Retain the right to use content from the event for future promotional purposes
- Accept full responsibility for:
- Program content
- Talent management
- Obtaining all necessary releases, licenses, and clearances
- Make every effort to publicize the program’s distribution on Multicultural Arts Center platforms through their networks
- Split ticket revenue 50/50 with the Multicultural Arts Center
- Share email addresses of registered attendees
