Aparna Nancherla is an acclaimed comedian, writer, and actor. Praised by critics and fans alike for her distinctive dry, existential, and whimsical sense of humor, Aparna has toured her standup comedy extensively around the U.S. and the world. A true multi-hyphenate, Aparna’s work spans film, TV, podcasts, and books. Most recently, Aparna’s debut book Unreliable Narrator: Me, Myself, and Imposter Syndrome, a collection of personal essays, was published by Viking, an imprint of Penguin Random House in September 2023.
CONVENE
The Jar utilizes a Convener Model which invites you to actively build a diverse and vibrant community. As a Convener, you’ll purchase a Jar of tickets for $60 – that’s 6 tickets at $10 each. You’ll then invite:
Your partner or other close friend
2 people you would normally experience culture with
2 people you wouldn’t normally experience culture with – people who may not look like you, pray like you, love like you, earn like you, etc. While these can be people you know – like an acquaintance, neighbor, or colleague – they are most importantly people you’d like to know better.
Together, the six of you gather to experience The Jar:
7:00PM Doors & Open Bar
7:30PM Aparna Nancherla’s Unreliable Narrator tour headlining performance
8:30PM Social Mixer & Dessert
Venue Information:
The Multicultural Arts Center is located at 41 Second Street in Cambridge, MA. Please enter at the ground floor entrance and visit the Box Office on your right as you enter.
Once you check in, you will head upstairs to the theater. There is an elevator and staircase for access to the theater.
Seating is general admission. Box Office will open an hour before the show starts, so you are welcome to arrive early. Feel free to visit our gallery before the show begins.
Getting There:
The Multicultural Arts Center is located just a few blocks from the Green line Lechmere MBTA Station.
The East Cambridge Parking Garage is entered off Spring Street, between First & Second Streets, one block away from us, and open 24/7.
